Salesforce was co-founded by Marc Benioff, a former Oracle executive, in San Francisco in February 1999. Salesforce took advantage of cedo cloud computing trends to build a SaaS CRM platform that eventually became the world’s largest enterprise software firm. The company has described itself as a customer company focused on customer success.
