Сравнение характеристик
Let’s put FastestVPN and AdGuard VPN side by side. We’ll cover 10 areas that matter most for everyday users.
| Особенность | FastestVPN | AdGuard VPN |
|---|---|---|
65+ locations, 53 countries |
| WireGuard / OpenVPN | ✅ | ❌ |
Budget privacy and streaming | Ad blocking and light browsing |
1. Server Network & Speed
FastestVPN: The service runs around 800 servers in 49 countries. With so few servers, peak hours can feel crowded. Independent speed tests clocked nearby servers at around 730 Mbps on WireGuard.
Average download speeds fell about 45% in those tests. Long-distance servers lost up to 55%. Upload speed dropped about 22% on one machine. Ping didn’t change on one computer but rose 33% on another.
AdGuard VPN: Its server list reaches more countries, but AdGuard VPN’s performance trails on speed. One review saw speeds fall from 65 Mbps to about 10 Mbps. Paid servers averaged around 58.73 Mbps in another test.
Nearby servers lost about 20% on average. Some users also report connection drops. Neither tool suits online gaming or video calls on distant servers.
💡 Полезный совет: Choose a server location close to you. Both tools show slow speeds on long hops. Your base internet speed also sets the ceiling.
2. VPN-протоколы
FastestVPN: You can pick WireGuard, OpenVPN TCP, or IKEv2. An Auto mode chooses for you. The WireGuard protocol gives the best speed.
AdGuard VPN: It uses only a proprietary protocol. Traffic looks like normal HTTPS, which helps bypass censorship. But there’s no WireGuard or OpenVPN, and the protocol hasn’t been independently audited.
⚠️ Предупреждение: Does AdGuard VPN work in China? Several reviews say it struggles with the Great Firewall. ExpressVPN and NordVPN handle it better.
3. Kill Switch & Leak Protection
FastestVPN: The kill switch cuts your internet if the VPN connection drops. That prevents data leaks. Some reviews вопрос its reliability, so test it once.
AdGuard VPN: A kill switch is included here too. It blocks traffic if the VPN tunnel fails. Its policy says it never logs IP addresses or browsing history.
FastestVPN also adds DNS leak protection. FastestVPN’s servers handle all DNS requests, so DNS queries stay hidden from your ISP.
⚠️ Предупреждение: Some reviews report DNS leaks and IP leaks in the Windows version. Run DNS leak tests right after you install FastestVPN.
4. Ad Blocking & DNS Filtering
FastestVPN: The built-in ad blocker removes most ads and adds basic malware protection. It isn’t antivirus software, though. Treat it as a handy extra.
AdGuard VPN: This is home turf. Can AdGuard VPN block ads better? Yes, by a wide margin. Integrated mode runs the full ad blocker and VPN together.
AdGuard DNS adds filtering at the DNS server level. You can pick DNS servers that stop trackers before pages load. Set it on a router to cover every device.
5. Split Tunneling vs Smart Tunneling
FastestVPN: Split tunneling works on Windows and for Android users. Smart Tunneling goes further. It sends chosen browser traffic through the VPN, even before you connect.
AdGuard VPN: Its split tunneling feature is called Exclusions. You choose which apps or certain websites skip the VPN. It works across desktop apps and mobile apps.
6. Devices & Simultaneous Connections
FastestVPN: FastestVPN’s apps run on Windows, Мак, Android, iOS, and Linux. The FastestVPN iOS app works on iPhone and iPad. Router setup also covers Apple TV.
FastestVPN apps allow 10 simultaneous connections per account. The Windows app and Mac apps share a clean, beginner-friendly design.
AdGuard VPN: AdGuard VPN’s apps cover Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Android TV, and Linux. The AdGuard VPN app is clean on mobile устройства. Paid plans also cover 10 devices.
AdGuard Помощник extension adds one-click page filtering in your browser.
7. Streaming & Torrenting
FastestVPN: It has dedicated streaming servers and a streaming tab in the app. It works with Netflix, Disney+, Хулу, Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, and BBC iPlayer. US, UK, Япония, and Sweden Netflix libraries unblock.
The streaming FastestVPN offers isn’t perfect. US Netflix loaded slowly in some reports. The Australian library didn’t work. All FastestVPN servers allow torrenting, but torrent speeds are reported as slow. Every plan includes unlimited bandwidth.
AdGuard VPN: Connect to a US server, and Netflix, Disney+, and BBC iPlayer usually work. It struggles with Amazon Prime and Peacock on other streaming platforms. Buffering and long load times show up in reviews.
✅ Результат: FastestVPN unblocks more streaming services and Netflix libraries. That makes it the safer pick for streaming sites.
8. Privacy & Security Extras
FastestVPN: Its no-logs rule was confirmed by a third-party audit from Altius IT. AES-256 encryption and a NAT firewall add layers. Dedicated IPs and double VPN servers are optional extras.
AdGuard VPN: It also uses AES-256 and a strict no logs policy. It collects minimal technical data to fix bugs. But it has never had a third-party audit.
Your AdGuard account also unlocks Temp Mail. It gives you throwaway addresses for sites you don’t trust.
9. Поддержка клиентов
FastestVPN: Live chat runs 24/7, plus email support. Replies come fast, but answers can feel generic. Trustpilot reviews often praise the support, while others call it unhelpful.
AdGuard VPN: There’s no 24/7 customer support or live chat. You reach the support team through a ticketing system. Help articles fill some gaps.
💡 Полезный совет: FastestVPN’s knowledge base has setup guides, but its search is weak. Browse by category instead.
10. Ценообразование и стоимость
Here are both price lists side by side.
| План | FastestVPN | AdGuard VPN |
|---|---|---|
| Бесплатно | ❌ | 3 GB/month free plan |
| Ежемесячно | 1 Month Plan: $5/mo | 1 Month: $11.99/month |
| Ежегодно | 1 Year + 1 Year Free: $0.83/mo | 1 Year: $3.99/month |
| Long Term | Exclusive Lifetime Plan: $40 | 2 Years: $2.40/month |
| Окно возврата средств | 31 days, all plans | 30 days, yearly and 2-year |
FastestVPN: The 2-year deal and lifetime plan are hard to beat. Add-ons like a dedicated IP raise the total. Skip the monthly plan unless you need a short trial.
AdGuard VPN: Monthly billing is pricey at more than double FastestVPN’s rate. The free plan is the real draw. Light users may never need to pay.
