1. Server Network & Speed
FastestVPN: It runs around 800 servers in 49 countries. NordVPN and ExpressVPN offer thousands. Reviewers who tested FastestVPN saw download speed drop about 45% in speed tests. Long-distance links lost up to 55%.
On a nearby server with the WireGuard protocol, one test hit roughly 730 Mbps. Upload speed fell about 22% in another round. Ping stayed flat on one computer but rose 33% on a second. Torrenting works on all FastestVPN servers, but P2P speeds are reported slow.
OysterVPN: Published counts for OysterVPN’s servers vary. Some reviews list 150+ servers in 17 countries. Others list 400+ servers in 35+ countries.
OysterVPN’s speeds hold up on nearby servers. Connection speeds fall about 55% on distant servers, though. That’s fine for browsing but weak for HD streaming.
⚠️ Предупреждение: With so few servers, both networks can get crowded at peak times. Pick the fastest server near you and run a speed test first. A slow home connection stays slow through any VPN.
2. Производительность потоковой передачи
FastestVPN: FastestVPN’s servers include dedicated streaming servers, plus a streaming tab inside the app. Reviewers testing FastestVPN reached Netflix US, UK, Japan, and Sweden. Disney+, BBC iPlayer, Hotstar, Prime Video, and Хулу also worked.
Is streaming FastestVPN’s strong suit? Partly. Australian Netflix failed, US Netflix sometimes loaded slowly, and some streaming sites needed a refresh.
OysterVPN: It unblocks popular streaming services like Netflix, Max, ESPN+, and BBC iPlayer. It struggles with Hulu and Disney+. Day-to-day browsing is fine, but 4K on long-distance servers is a stretch.
3. Шифрование и VPN-протоколы
FastestVPN: It uses AES-256 encryption. You can choose WireGuard, OpenVPN TCP, IKEv2, or an Auto mode that picks for you.
OysterVPN: It also uses AES-256. It lists WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IKEv2 as secure VPN protocols.
Here’s how FastestVPN presents its protocol choices.
And here’s the protocol menu inside OysterVPN.
⚠️ Предупреждение: Reports conflict on OysterVPN’s WireGuard support. Some reviews say it’s missing. Check the protocol menu in your app before you rely on it.
4. No-Logs Policy & Jurisdiction
FastestVPN: FastestVPN claims it keeps no activity or connection logs. Altius IT audited that claim. Being based in the Cayman Islands, it faces no data retention rules. That audit is a real edge at this price.
OysterVPN: It promises a zero logging policy. It says it never stores browsing data or DNS requests. But it hasn’t had a third-party audit. GDPR helps, yet you’re trusting the company’s word.
5. Leak Protection & Kill Switch
FastestVPN: It routes DNS queries through its own servers for DNS leak protection. A kill switch cuts traffic if the VPN connection drops. Still, some reviews report DNS leaks on Windows and вопрос the kill switch.
OysterVPN: Its IP leak protection also blocks DNS and WebRTC leaks. The internet kill switch stops traffic when the tunnel fails. That prevents accidental data leaks.
A kill switch is a crucial feature on public Wi-Fi. Here’s FastestVPN’s version.
OysterVPN’s switch runs quietly in the background.
⚠️ Предупреждение: Run DNS leak tests after setup, especially on a Windows computer. Data leaks can expose your real IP address.
6. Split Tunneling & Smart Tunneling
FastestVPN: It offers app-based split tunneling on Windows and Android. Smart tunneling goes further. You pick websites that always use the VPN, even before you open the app.
OysterVPN: The split tunneling feature lets browser traffic use the VPN while banking apps stay direct. It’s only on Windows and Android, so Mac and iPhone users miss out.
7. Simultaneous Connections & Devices
FastestVPN: It allows 10 simultaneous connections, with more at $4 each per month. FastestVPN apps cover Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and Linux. Its Windows and Mac apps share a clean layout. Android users get the most settings, while the FastestVPN iOS app stays basic.
OysterVPN: It caps you at five connections, with no unlimited connections option. The OysterVPN apps cover multiple devices on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android. Its Android app and iOS app mirror the desktop app. There’s no native Linux app and no app for smart TVs or consoles.
Both offer intuitive apps for beginners. FastestVPN’s apps also have a router setup, which covers Apple TV and other streaming devices.
8. Дополнительные инструменты безопасности
FastestVPN: It adds a NAT firewall, malware protection, and an ad blocker. FastestVPN’s ad blocker removes most page ads. Double VPN servers route traffic through two locations for extra privacy.
OysterVPN: It includes an ad and malware blocker too. DDoS protection shields gamers from flooding attacks. These are advanced security features for a budget app.
💡 Полезный совет: Neither VPN replaces antivirus software. Keep a separate scanner on every device.
9. Поддержка клиентов
FastestVPN: It offers 24/7 live chat with real people, plus email. Replies come fast, but answers can feel generic. The knowledge base has setup guides, though its search works poorly.
OysterVPN: Its customer support is thinner. There’s no phone line, and reviews say live chat is missing or limited. Email replies are reported as slow. Where chat support appears, it may log your IP.
10. Ценообразование и стоимость
Давайте сравним эти планы.
| План | FastestVPN | OysterVPN |
|---|---|---|
| Бесплатно | ❌ | ❌ |
| Ежемесячно | 1 Month Plan: $5/mo | 1-Month +2 Months free: $5.99/month |
| Ежегодно | 1 Year + 1 Year Free: $0.83/mo | 1-Year: $29.99/month |
| Продолжительность жизни | Exclusive Lifetime Plan: $40 | Lifetime Access: $59.99/month |
| Окно возврата средств | 31 день | 30 дней |
FastestVPN: It costs less on every plan. The lifetime deal is a single $40 payment. Dedicated IPs and port forwarding stay optional.
OysterVPN: It costs more at each tier. Its lifetime option still pays off if you’ll use a VPN for years.
Различные сценарии
| Если вам это нужно | Выбирать | Почему |
|---|---|---|
| Ограниченный бюджет | FastestVPN | Lower price on every plan |
| Big household | FastestVPN | 10 connections vs 5 |
| Подтвержденная конфиденциальность | FastestVPN | Independent audit completed |
| Онлайн-игры | OysterVPN | Встроенная защита от DDoS-атак |
| EU privacy law | OysterVPN | Irish base under GDPR |
| Linux desktop | FastestVPN | OysterVPN has no Linux app |
| Подходит для начинающих | FastestVPN | Simple apps plus 24/7 chat |
💰 Ваш бюджет
FastestVPN is cheaper at every tier, and its lifetime plan costs less too. OysterVPN only makes sense if you value its extras over savings.
🔌 Ваши устройства
Linux users and big families should pick FastestVPN. OysterVPN works well if you only protect a phone, laptop, and tablet.
📺 Ваши привычки просмотра потокового видео
FastestVPN reaches more Netflix libraries plus Hulu and Disney+. OysterVPN covers Netflix, Max, and ESPN+ but stumbles on Hulu.
🎓 Ваш уровень опыта
Both apps are easy for first-time VPN users. FastestVPN’s round-the-clock chat helps if you get stuck.
🆓 Бесплатные пробные версии и демо-версии
Neither has a free plan. Use the refund window to test speeds on your own network.

Что не было рассмотрено в нашем обзоре
This comparison focused on browsing, streaming, and torrenting for individuals and families. We didn’t check whether any server locations run on virtual servers. We also didn’t test either VPN in restrictive countries. Reports say OysterVPN doesn’t work reliably in China.
Router setups, бизнес use, and add-on performance weren’t covered either. Everything here reflects October 2026 versions, so features may change.
